1 minute = 3600 seconds?!?

Last Thursday I took my CS312 midterm test. This test was so simple a monkey could probably get at least a B. Even though I got every question almost perfectly there was one question which for one reason or another put me in another demention in which one minute = one hour. This along with being completely high or something cost me 10% of my grade. So instead of 97% I got 87%. I guess I should be used to this by now. Its the reason why I’m a C student and not a A-B student. I always look over some dumb ass mistake. What’s worse, after I was done with the test, about 10 minutes, I spent another 20 minutes looking over each problem making sure I didn’t make any mistakes. I guess I was in dimension X the whole time cause I didn’t catch it the 4 times I went over the problem. *sigh*

Sweet and Spicy Hawaiian Chili!

Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007

If ever someone mentions that you shouldn’t touch any sensitive part of your body after handling a peper, especially a hot one, you should listen to them. Which I did, for a while. However, when you start doing 5 things at once, those memories get blured a bit and tend to forget. Well while making my Sweet and Spicy Hawaiian Chili, I kinda forgot I cut up a habenjero pepper and then touched “near” my eye. Yeah, yeah wrong move eh? Well, I didn’t actually touch my eye but when I realized I touched near it I rushed to flush my eye out.  So I washed my hands with soap and water real good.  Then ran soap and water over the affected area.  Yeah really should have thought that though, the fire and pain followed soon after.  I rushed to my bathroom and blindly pulled out my contacts after washing my hands yet again, that was yet more pain.  After frantically getting my contacts out, they needed to be replaced anyways, I proceeded to gush water in my eyes.  This went on for, oh, 5 mins.  After which I felt a little better, but they still burned.  Went in to the kitchen and got ice.  You can’t imagine how good the ice felt.  It soon subsided, but wow was that an experience I only wish on my enemies.

For those who would like my open source Sweet and Spicy Hawaiian Chilly (Leslie would call it death chili), its as followed (amount relative to size of pot):

  • 5 or so cans of black beans (I used bushes)
  • 2 cans of tomato sauce
  • 2  sweet onions (saluted)
  • 2 green peppers (saluted)
  • 1 habenjero
  • < 2ish lbs of 99% fat free ground turkey (I think I ended with about 1/2 or so lbs left over)
  • Can of sweet corn
  • 3 packets of Chili powder stuff
  • 3 tomatos diced
  • 1/2 a pineapple diced
  • Lots of garlic (I think I used 2 teaspoons of minced)

Mix it all together and let simmer for a few hrs.  Everyone said they loved it.

Its open source so I’ll give credit where credit is due.  My recipe was based off of Kristen Hamilton’s recipe.  Modified heavily though.  If you find this recipe good let me know, if you make modifications to it, please give credit to me in some way and send me your updates so I can try it for myself!

Ooops *Crash*

I think somethings broken inside my brain. Going though ever calculus homework problem in lieu of my final I must ace. I’ve come to realize something I’ve known for a while, just realizing it again.

Simple == Hard && Simple == Hard;

I don’t know why this is, but it is. It’s annoying. I mean, I like finding difficult things easy, but easy stuff shouldn’t be the quite opposite. Take my homework for example:

What do you think 1 * 1 would equal? A normal person would say 1, however every single problem I’ve put 2. This is something learned in frigg’n grade school. Why can I do complex calculus equations, and fuck up 1 * 1? I’ve even had problems adding. I’ve gotten to the point where I put EVERYTHING into my calculator, just in case my brain decides to go all dyslexic on me. Don’t get me started with negative signs. I’m always either omitting them, or randomly changing them to + or vice versa. *sigh* I sure hope I can fix this little problem before the final or I’m F*cked, and not the good kind either. *CRASH!!!!*
