The right words make the difference…

Saturday, February 16th, 2008

Those who know me and who have read my blog know I’m not religious in any sort of way, and generally get annoyed by it.  However I’m a firm believer of freedom of religion.  I have the right to not believe in any higher power.  It also always aggravates me when I see our political leaders use religion as cannon fodder.  It’s just annoying and in my opinion stupid.

With the election coming up this year It would be nice to elect someone who’s not a dumb ass, but also not a religious guppy.  I’m not saying that the person can’t believe in what ever they believe in.  I just want them to respect those other religions that make up the US.  Obama hits on this exact subject in this video and gets a notch up on him.  I haven’t really looked into what the other guy running’s views are, but from what I’ve heard he’s a religious guppy.  The only place a guppy belongs is in a fish bowl, not the melting pot as they say.

Yay religion bashing..

Religion Fails…

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

You might see the title of this and if your a religious fanatic you might just ignore this. Those who do read this will agree or disagree which is alright. This is my view and my opinion.

Now, I don’t really consider myself an atheist per say, mostly because I just don’t care about religion at all, it’s just a way to control the masses and people who are controlled by it are either naive or take confront in knowing they are controlled. For a lot of people religion is a good thing, allows them to meet new people, have something to do on a regular basis and gives them some peace in their life. But what gets me is when religion and beliefs are taking the wrong way. Like anyone else who isn’t religious, I don’t like it when people try to push their religion, we call them bible thumpers. However, that’s not what I’m ranting about here. In Christianity and I’m sure Catholicism both push for no sex before marriage. If two people who are in love and believe the same way, great, good for them. They are doing what they believe in, no problems there. However, when two people who are getting married just because they want to have sex, they are saving themselves for the wrong reasons, and this is where religion fails. Mainly because I hear of young couples who are into their faith, but because of said faith they end up rushing into marriage just so they can do it. If sex is so important to you and so is your faith, one should give more priority than the other. Rushing a marriage can only end it hardships. This isn’t always true, but many times it is. Personally sex is nothing prefect to savor for your first time, if you want a good sexual experience it’s going to take practice, just as if you were doing a math problem or hitting a baseball. For those who wish to save their selves for marriage and then have a perfect deflowerfication on their wedding night are naive, and will (I guarantee it) not be perfect and you WILL be disappointed. I know no one who’s had a perfect “first time.” To have a prefect wedding night sexual experience, I recommend finding your best friends, or getting a best friend who’s willing to practice and not develop feelings because of it. This way you can teach yourself how to do it right and have a perfect night with the one you love. The reason this comes out is a friend of mines’ sister is getting married for that very same thing and my friend isn’t happy about it, but is going along with it because it’s what her sister wants. It’s a shame but that’s how religion fails, it either helps or hurts people and its a shame.
